Hi guys! Sorry for being inactive for a very long time.

As you all know, I am a 4th year Nursing Student and I am about to graduate. Being a nursing student is really hard since we have lots of requirements. Before graduation, we all have to be cleared and in order to be cleared we had to pass all these requirements.

So that’s what kept me busy the whole week. Clearance stuff.

Now, I am cleared and I am surely graduating!

But wait. Before graduation is our graduation ball. :)) A while ago, my friend, Angela and I went dress hunting at Trinoma.

Here are some dresses we tried. :D

1. Black dress theme. LOL. Haha. This is a very simple one. :))

2. The Greek Goddess dresses. :)) It’s me in pink. This one’s actually nice. But the price is NOOOOT. It’s worth 10,000 pesos

3. I think this is the one I like. :)) Simple yet elegant

4. This is the 4th one. It’s pretty but then it looks OLD. And it makes my boobs look extra big. Not in a good big way. A really ugly “big” way. T.T

Soooo. After a long deliberation, conference with parents and stuff. I resorted to buying the black one with the white skirt.

They said it looks more “my age” than the green one which looks that it can be used for Flores De Mayo. And I’ve tried it on with a bolero. I’m still deciding if I’m gonna use it with or without a bolero.

Haha. Anyway, I also took a picture of my shoes. It was a gift from Miko. Sorry for my extreme laziness. I didn’t even close the shoes. Haha. :D

It was a really great book! :)

Here’s the gist:

It is a story about an angel named Bethany who was sent here on earth on a mission together with the Archangel Gabriel and Seraphim Ivy. They were to blend in as regular humans and spread good deeds and change the world one good deed at a time. Part of that was going to highschool and that’s where Bethany knew Xavier, a guy who would change her life forever. :))

Well, I told my dad about it. And as I expected. It was my fault. LOL.

My dad almost hit me too. Almost. He stopped himself unlike my brother. Because I answered back. Because I told him I’m tired of all the bullshit. I’m tired of them always siding with my brother

He told me that they sided with him because I’m smart. I can handle anything. But every child needs love too. I grew up without that. He grew up with everything. My parents love my grades not me. My brother doesn’t have good grades, they love him. See the irony?

Well see. That’s how life goes. Everything here’s my fault.

Everything’s as unfair as it could be. I have a mother who doesn’t love me. She even told me it’s because I’m bad that she doesn’t love me. Maybe people are really born bad and that’s how I was. Haha. God sends bad children to this earth so their mom wouldn’t love them.

I told them about 3% of all my heartaches and pains and they just laughed at me and called me crazy.

I am in a fucked up family. Really. And I can’t wait to go and be free.

P.S. I think my finger is broken because of the way my brother beat me yesterday. I told my parents and again they just laughed. Good thing I’m a nurse and I splinted it. I just hope it heals okay.

Tuna Sisig- Lysa’s Recipe

BACKGROUND: So yesterday, I wanted to eat sisig since it’s one of my favorite foods. But it was Friday and I’m a Catholic so as part of our abstinence, we couldn’t eat meat. So I looked around and Canned Tuna is always present in our cupboard since I think I’m the only one who wants to eat it. I looked around the internet for recipes and then combined all the tips I saw and made my own. :)

This is a very delicious and easy to cook dish! It can be ready in around 10 mins. :)

Ingredients:

1 canned tuna (original flavor in oil or water.)
1 whole onion
2 cloves garlic
1-2 eggs
Knorr Magic Sarap
Pepper
Soy sauce
Vinegar
Calamansi

Steps in Cooking:

1. Open the tuna and then drain all the oil or water

2. Put around 4-5 tablespoons of soy sauce

3. Put 1-2 tablespoons of vinegar

4. Add pepper to taste.

5. Mix well. And then set aside for about 5-10 mins while you prepare other ingredients

6. The tuna will absorb the vinegar and soy sauce and will give it its taste.

7. Chop the garlic and onions finely.

8. Preheat your cooking pan and then place cooking oil.

9. Fry the tuna until crispy.

10. Add a dash of the Knorr Magic Sarap (If you place this, don’t put salt anymore or it will be very salty. If you don’t have this, you may use salt as alternative.)

11. Add garlic. (Don’t let it burn or else it will taste bitter.)

12. Add onions (Just let it fry for around 30 seconds and then you’re done. Don’t let this burn too.)

13. If you have a sizzling plate, you must’ve preheated it already. Pour the tuna into it and then add 1-2 pieces of egg.

14. If you don’t have the sizzling plate, place the tuna on one side of the frying pan, making sure that you have a space. Crack the egg there and let it cook a bit before mixing it.

15. Add calamansi and then enjoy! :)

WARNING: Not for the faint-hearted.

I’m already 20 and I have a younger brother who’s 17. He’s younger but he’s way taller than me and bulkier.

A while ago, since it’s Friday and I’m a Catholic, I decided to cook Tuna Sisig for us. To do that, I needed eggs. I checked the ref and we ran out of eggs so I asked my brother if he could cross the street and buy one for me.

I’m just wearing an oversized shirt which was pretty indecent. So if I would buy, I’d have to change into more decent clothes which would take more time. So I asked my brother to buy for me.

He had lots of excuses and didn’t want to buy. So I told him, “Pag ikaw nanghihingi ng pera, ambaet mo. Pero kapag inuutusan ka ikaw pa astig. Mga utang mo nga di mo na binabayaran hinahayaan ko na lang. Pero pag ako nakikiusap, wala.”

He looked at me and shouted at me really loudly that I’d have to buy for myself. I was pissed at his shouting so I told him “Ikaw nga bobo” (which was true given the circumstances. He’s in college, Mechanical Engineering and he failed 12 units out if 15 units.)

As I walked to the door, he grabbed my hair with one hand and with his other hand grabbed my mouth and told me “Ulitin mo pa”

Then he threw me to the ground. My laptop fell because I tripped on the cord as he pushed me. When I was already lying on the ground, he was on top of me and he placed his hand on my neck and choked me. It hurt a lot and it was hard to breathe.

Of course I fought back. I kicked and scratched at whatever I can but he’s stronger. Everytime I stood, he just pushed me to the ground again. He also hit me at the shoulders, on my chest, whatever part of me he could reach.

My hands hurt so much and I have bruises. My mom saw this yet she did nothing. Even told me it was my fault and then she sat with my brother (my mom’s like that. She sides with my brother whatever he does. Even if it is the worst. Even if he fails at school. Don’t even get me started on a story about my mom. Let’s just say that she’s not the typical mom. She’s very selfish, maybe because she married young. )

This is the second time my brother beat me. The first time he grabbed my hair again and pushed me to the dining table. My stomach hit the corner and I fell to the floor due to so much pain. Then I ran for the stairs so I could lock myself in my room. He chased me and pushed me down the stairs. Again my mom saw this yet forbade me to tell my father.

I cried so hard after this and I felt so alone. Sorry for blogging this. If you read this, thank you for being part of my suffering. I hope you do not experience what I have experienced. I hope you have a happy family. Not one that’s like mine.

Plan A- “Mall Date”

Budget: 700 to 1000 pesos per person.

Description: I think that this is the most common “thing” couples would do on Valentines Day. For this plan, couples can go eat lunch/ dinner at a restaurant (NO FASTFOODS PLEASE. Unless budget is really tight. LOL. But there are lots of other restaurants that aren’t fast food chains but are for those with low budgets.

Activity Suggestions: (you may or may not include some of the activities suggested here to lower the date costs)

Lunch/ Dinner: Around 200-400 per person. (Teriyaki Boy, Sizzling Pepper Steak, Tokyo Cafe, Max’s Restaurant, Gerry’s Grill, Shakey’s)

Movie: 200 per person (Suggestion: “The Vow”)

Timezone: 100 per person. If you watch a movie. You get a discount on Timezone Load. 200 pesos for 300 card load. :)

Studio Picture: 100 per person. A picture is always a great souvenir.

Merienda/ Dessert: 100-150 per person (Dairy Queen, Krispy Kreme, Crepes and Cones)

Plan B- “Picnic”

Budget: Around 300- 600 pesos per peson

Description: A well-planned picnic is always something for romantics. If you want this to be special for your guy/ girl, you can cook the picnic food yourself. Extra effort always goes a long way. :) One critical thing in a picnic is finding the prefect location. That must be your first priority. :) What’s good about a picnic is that the couple can talk and catch up with each other. :)

These are just some of the plans I suggest for Valentines Day. Then again, some couples may be even more creative than me. :))

Also, try to remember that it’s not in the material things during valentines day. What matters is that you celebrate your relationship.

Girls: Don’t expect too much. Valentines Day is not all about guys planning stuff. You have to do something yourself. :D
